Lễ trao giải MTV Video Music Awards 2012 vừa công bố danh sách đề cử chính thức. Rihanna và Drake dẫn đầu với 5 đề cử quan trọng. Lễ trao giải sẽ diễn ra vào ngày 6/9 tới tại Los Angeles.

Rihanna được đánh giá có 2 cơ hội chiến thắng lớn tại giải Video of the Year khi cả hai bản hit của cô – We found love và Take care (ca khúc song ca với Drake), đều được đề cử ở hạng mục này. Ngoài Video of the Year, Rihanna còn có tên ở 4 hạng mục khác, gồm: Best Female Video, Best Pop Video, Best Choreography và Best Visual Effects.
Trong khi đó, Drake được đề cử tại các hạnh mục dành cho Best Hip-Hop Video, Best Male Video, Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography và Video of the Year.
Đứng sau Rihanna và Drake về số lượng đề cử là Katy Perry. Với hai ca khúc Wide Awake và Part of Me, cô được đề cử tại 4 hạng mục: Video of the Year, Best Female Video, Best Art Direction và Best Visual Effects. Năm ngoái, Katy Perry là người đã giành chiến thắng lớn tại lễ trao giải MTV Video Music Awards.
Lễ trao giải MTV Video Music Awards sẽ diễn ra vào ngày 6/9 tại sân khấu Staples Center, Los Angeles. Chương trình hứa hẹn sẽ tạo ra một cơn bão khi có sự xuất hiện trở lại của Alicia Keys – người 4 lần chiến thắng tại giải thưởng này- và nhóm nhạc đang lên One Direction – nhóm nhạc đang được yêu thích bởi bản hit What makes you beautiful.
